LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES STAFF CHARGED BY LGSC BOSS TO BE DEDICATED TO DUTY
In a bid to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the public service in the State of Osun, the Chairman, Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), Elder Tunde Adedeji has admonished the officers in the public service to exhibit discipline and show commitment at their respective duty posts.
The Chairman who was represented by the Coordinating Director of the Agency, Barr. Lekan Babalola gave the charge at the opening ceremony of a 2-day Continuous Improvement Workshop on Skills Enhancement for the Staff of Local Government Service Commission, Pension Bureau and Loans Board, held at the Multipurpose Hall of Local Government Service Commission, State Secretariat.
Elder Adedeji added that Discipline is an integral part of the public service and it would definitely come from civil servants that are diligent in discharging their duties.
According to him, public servants are meant to be the mirror of the government by displaying good work ethics.
While speaking at the event, the Director of Training, Administration and Supplies of Local Government Service Commission, Mr Kareem Buraimoh advised the participants at the workshop to shun corrupt practices which he said, is rampant among civil servants, adding that they should see themself as ambassadors to the State Government.
Present at the event were the Coordinating Director, Loans Board, Miss Folake Adebayo, the Commission's Director, Finance and Account Mr Abudulganiyu Jimoh, Director Pension Tunrayo Ajayi, among others.
