OGUNGBANGBE Celebrates Oyetola, Respected Senior Statesman at 70

The silence of the many achievements of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola is so deafening that points him up as an outstanding pillar decked, in intellect with wisdom and wits, resourceful and astute, uncommon, which have enabled him steered the ship of governance, administration and politics, piloting the affairs in all reams and in right directions

"You have demonstrated among your peers, expertise, excellence, visionary, exceptional skill and prowess,"  Dr Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe stated further, in a compliment personally, signed by him, on the occasion of the birthday of Oyetola, erstwhile governor of Osun State and currently, Honourable Minister of Marines and Blue Economy who clocks 70years.

In Oyetola lies a leadership capacity that transforms vision into reality, to leave the conviction and the will in the young leaders, to carry on after him.

Continuing, Ogungbangbe, the APC high wheel in the Ife/Ijesa, Osun East, stated, "We are not only celebrating your birth but also, your incredible contributions to the political landscape of our great nation. Your unwavering dedication and commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in our dear state have placed the party on the part of recovery and waxing stronger daily. Your inclusive approach to politics has brought positive changes and unity to our party.

"Your wisdom and experience have continued to play significant role in the prudent management of finances and has correspondingly improved the nation's marine and blue economy, resulting in tremendous revenue increase, marine security, waterway safety, ports expansion, exports surge, and vanishing gridlocks along ports roads, to mention a few."

It would be recalled that by Oyetola's scorecard, he effectively delivered on each of his election promises in Osun. He responsibly and responsively, with zeal and penchant produced desired significant results in all the sectors of the state: education, infrastructure, healthcare, security, empowerment, gender equality, youth inclusiveness, politics and society as he changed things for the better.

To be a leader of your cast, it takes strong character and sincerity of purpose. And from all of us here, joined in unison, we say happy birthday, sir, to the senior statesman and wish him good health, peace and God's guidance in his continued march through life.
