Osun NUJ partners FRSC in Safety Tips Campaign

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun State Council, has pledged to continue collaborating with the Federal Roads Safety Commission (FRSC) to reduce road crashes in the state, especially during the Ember Months.
Chairman of the NUJ Osun State Council, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu, made this promise while receiving the new Corps Commander of the FRSC in Osun State, Mr. Adeyemi Shokunbi, at the NUJ Press Centre in Osogbo.
Ajadosu applauded the digitalization of road safety through the introduction of an innovative Road Safety App aimed at reducing road crashes. He praised the Corps Marshall of the FRSC for the innovation and promised to continue working together to propagate the activities of the FRSC.
Earlier, Corps Commander Shokunbi explained that the purpose of his visit was to share new innovations in road safety measures, including the Road Safety App, which targets excessive speeding, a major cause of road accidents. He reiterated the FRSC's commitment to engaging with the media and stakeholders to advocate for road safety.
Shokunbi was accompanied on the visit by the FRSC Public Relations Officer in Osun State, Mrs. Yemisi Ogungbemi, and other officials.
