Late Chief Ibrahim Durosinmi Celebrated In Grand Style By Children

The final rites and reception program of late Chief Ibrahim Adekunle Ayodele Durosinmi who recently died at the age of 91, held amidst pomp and pageantry in Osogbo on Friday.
This is as he was celebrated by his children and dignitaries who came from around the globe to celebrate late Chief Durosinmi, who was described as a good man and lover children.

At Atlantis event centre, the venue of the reception, one of his children Mr. Abiodun Lateef Durosinmi stated that “My father was a gentleman to the core and lover of community and he lived a very good legacy."

"We are proud to be known as his children, because he was a great man, a philanthropist, who wholeheartedly loved his children and community, he will be greatly missed."

Durosinmi popularly known as Succulent, an Alumni of Osun State College of Technology, OSCOTECH Esaoke, appreciated everyone who graced the occasion, adding that "when my father was alive, we took good care of him, he had access to the best care, as his children, we fulfilled our duty."

In her own reaction Mrs Abimbola Mudijat Adepoju revealed that her late father was a family man and lover of education, he loves his children while he was alive, and she encouraged children to continue the love their father and mother as  established by the Holy book.

In Osogbo community, "our father was known for good deeds, his house filled with children and relatives who he trained and who lived with him, even at his death bed, he was not alone, he died in the hands of his children, and that's a good way to go." 

The late Chief Ibrahim Adekunle Durosinmi was also a religious man, who believed in God and who served God well, "like he knew he was going, he even had Quran recited for him, and  killed a ram before he went inside the house for the last time."

"I am humbly advising Fathers to be good to their children, train your children well, give them access to education and life necessities, all this will speak for you later in life, my father had two wives and all his children lived as one, Abimbola stated."

The Owamiran Of Esa Òkè, HRM Oba Adeyemi Adediran in his felicitation message, also advised the Durosinmi children to continue the love themselves as their father has established among them.

"Although I never knew the late Chief Ibrahim Durosinmi, but he can be described by one of his children, Abiodun Durosinmi who I know to have good character among his colleagues and friends at OSCOTECH.

His attitude shows that his late father raised him well and due to that am here to honor him, and my advise to the children is to keep their father's legacy and remain steadfast among themselves.

Popular Fiji music maestro, King Saheed Osupa, entertained the guest with good music at the lavish reception party organized in honor of late Chief Ibrahim Adekunle Ayodele Durosinmi.
