Politics:Ogungbangbe, proactive and prepared, deserves party's ticket

Again, on the matter of the week. Let's for a moment look away from the old horse, self spent in the House of Representatives, National Assembly (NASS), from Ijesa South and suddenly, in the week, self re-cast as an aspirant, inching for the ticket of the Osun State All Progressive Congress (APC) to be in the Senate from the Osun East District of the state after two previous attempts.

But what cannot be ignored is the dive by the old horse who also doubles as aspirant, to impress the Osun East of the Ife/Ijesa people as just starting politics, to be cheated by the game of politics. The desperation of the old horse to cling the party ticket is to advance the images of candour and integrity. Practically, the old horse, showing up at this crucial time for the party ticket to the Senate, is in every breath, rudderless aplenty, exemplifying pedestrian politics, the reed in the tide of craftiness that reveals him as one who has been innately angry, tenacious, to derail the Dr Thomas Ogungbangbe steady Senate ambition.

Contrastingly, Ogungbangbe, the scion of the Ajagbusi Ekun Dynasty of Iloko Ijesa, had a long time ago, rekindled the flame of his unflagging political ambition in the mould of linear, stable and transformative democracy, and has consistently shown commitment humbly towards the ambition to serve his people of Osun East in the Senate capacity.

But, the craftiness of the old horse and aspirant, struggling at the eleventh hour for the party ticket has generated public inquisitorial rage in the Osun East Senatorial District due to the melodrama, illogicality and sentiments, his re-cast has evolved. The District detests his divergence from their own preferment for Ogungbangbe.

Prince Ogungbangbe, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CITA ENERGIES, is young, youthful, incurably vivacious, infectiously likeable, and charismatically determined, one who knows his onus from the beginning and takes responsibility, proactive and prepared, with maturity and reliability on display. Everywhere he goes, he remains the master of thoughtful repartee, a folk icon and role model for the young and progressive. 

Reposed in Ogungbangbe is celestial, that's, heavenly leadership responsibility, integrity and dignity continually, coming from his genuine heart, and occupy the center stage of his theory and praxis. Delay is alien to him. He's a man of progressive actions and he possesses more than active human conscience and much more than a sense of how things ought to be. His kind deserves the party's ticket to flag the party's Senate from Osun East.

And asked if the old horse and former House of Representative member could defend the seemingly blue attributes ascribed to him in a media story, this week, the old horse, speaking to his sponsors who have hectored him into running the aspirant this time, sees himself as the guff, wearing unfriendliness with the progressive politics of Osun East Senatorial District, the virtue on his epaulettes. The Ife/Ijesa people of the District hate his level of hypocrisy, acetic and toxic and have begun not to be counted around him. It's reprehensible to them to carry on with any heart -wrenching agony.

But Ogungbangbe has already grappled with removing the agony and fix other problems across the Osun East District, in a broad sense, if giving the party ticket. To repair the damages, other losses or detriments in Osun East, is the oracle, and Ogungbangbe is the priest. He's still getting pats, in the District specific instance, for his huge financial contributions in several million of naira to other politicians' ambition, including the 2019, 2023 ambition of the old horse to be in the Senate! The pats are sterling, and Ogungbangbe's own ambition, today, for Senate is enchanting. His ambition is for greater good of the greater Osun East, and God of the greatest good is on his side.

Ironically, trying to make his defence, the old horse had a worse deal, trapped in the defence elevator, sweated and gasped for breath. And with the benefits of insight, there are "ifs" in whatever defence put up by the old horse, evidential of his intention to want to rubbish the Ogungbangbe Senate ambition; and the "ifs" as authoritative instance of his hidden but obsessive hatred for Ogungbangbe.

I think the old horse should be doing something else, more useful for the party, instead of ballyhoo.
