Ogungbangbe throws new year bash, guests hopeful of victory at pollsa

The differing nature of the Dr Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe new year reception get-together is both a process and space. 

The bash remains the process of constructing smoother intra-party relations for democratic sustenance that would continue to play crucial role in the consolidation of democratic values, internal democracy and inclusivity, with the party members in their large numbers as guests, re-energized in greater party unity and enthusiasm, and their emotional investment, loyalty and dedication to the party, showcased.

And the hangout, a space, internalized in the the party's members, is the incentive basis for active participation in party activities for a more engaged, motivated membership base, capably to impact positively on election prospects, with bearing on the party performance in future elections.

The powwow, a social get-together, yesterday, held at Ogungbangbe Crescent, in Iloko-Ijesa in Oriade local government council area of Osun State, attracted the state All Progressive Congress (APC) bigwigs, including the state party chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, and arch party leader, Baba Kunle Odeyemi, others from across the state and particularly, the entire local government council areas, wards and units in the Ife/Ijesa axis. The politicians, men and women paraded styles and attires that reflected their individuality and taste with a touch of elegance and formality, informality. Or, both.

Beyond any agenda setting, the guests at the social gathering were seeing rebuilt personal relationships, fostered audible sense of camaraderie. And more than less, the Osun APC, its politics, policies and next elections were heard, informally discussed in groups and groups; ideas, shared; insights, gained from one another; and strategies, also informally, formulated as are common to politicians of all shades and hues, objectively, in the instance, to make APC drive the next government, governance, and legislation in the state and at the centre.

Earlier in the day, the Oriade Student Union (ORIASU) executive had paid a gratitude call on Ogungbangbe and pointed up his philanthropic gesture to one of them whose tuition fee was paid in full by him, while the benefactor commended the union's team spirit of 'an injury to one is an to all' and reaffirmed his faith in the union.

The fascinating sight at the shindig was the guests, fully enjoying themselves at the year 2025 party, had a great time 'digging it,' to music, dancing and plenty of 'socializing,' fully engaged and entertained as they had to themselves good food, drinks and each other's company,
