Osun First Lady Welcomes First Baby Of 2025 With Gifts And Love

The Osun State Hospital, Asubiaro, played host to the state's First Lady, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adeleke, as she welcomed the first baby of the year.

The baby boy, weighing 4kg, was born at exactly 12 am to Mr. and Mrs. Ojo Yemi from Modakeke, Ife East Area Council of Osun state. The First Lady was ushered into the post-natal ward by Dr. Bello Nurudeen, the Consultant/Gynaecologist on ground.

During her visit, Mrs. Adeleke advised nursing mothers to prioritize their children's welfare and practice exclusive breastfeeding for optimal growth. She emphasized the importance of proper care and attention for newborn babies.

The First Lady also handed over edibles and baby essentials to the parents, accompanied by prayers for God's guidance and blessings. This heartwarming gesture was a testament to her commitment to the welfare of women and children in the state.

The Chairman, Osun State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Kingsley Akinoye, represented by Mr. Dosu Adedayo, acknowledged Governor Adeleke's administration's efforts in the health sector. He praised Mrs. Adeleke's commitment to improving women's and children's welfare in the state.

Dr. Akinoye also emphasized the need for more medical personnel recruitment to enhance healthcare services in the state. He called on the state government to prioritize the recruitment of medical professionals to ensure quality healthcare delivery.

The visit was attended by several dignitaries, including Dr. Mrs. Mojisola Aina, wife of the Head of Service, Barrister Jola Akintola, Commissioner for Health, and PDP State Women Leader, Hon Mrs. Alice Otunla, among others.
