Odeleye emerges NASFAT Zonal chairman for North West zone 1
The North West zone one of the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has appointed an Islamic faithful and Kano based business man, Alhaji Moh'd Jamiu Odeleye as the zonal chairman of the society.

Alhaji Odeleye, a Muslim faithful, who hails from Iba in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State is an enterprenuer and business mogul based in Kano State.

As the zonal chairman of NASFAT, North West zone one, Alhaji Odeleye is to lead the society in the three North West states of Kano, Kastina and Jigawa.

The new NASFAT zonal chairman who is also the national President of the Iba Descendants Union (IDU) has contributed tremendously to the growth of Islam.

In his acceptance speech after he was sworn in, Odeleye promised to continue to advance the cause of Islam and NASFAT in particular.

He said "I want to note that my over 20 years as a member of NASFAT out of which I had spent about 12 years sojourn in various committees gave me ample opportunity to appraise and fully understand the dynamics and workings of the system. Therefore, I consider my selection as a call to duty; a call I am prepared for and willing to undertake since it’s for the sake of Allah.

"Leadership is all about shared vision and responsibility. I want to assure you that during my tenure, I intend to build on the achievements of my predecessors in office. I know the assignment is daunting therefore I call on all my colleagues to join me to reflect on our past, critically assessing the present, and looking forward to the future with greater hope and enthusiasm.

"We are fully aware that there is a need for us to come together to save our society now more than ever. The country is facing a tough time in virtually all sectors, including education, economy and security which are core yardsticks for measuring development. The economic space is shrinking, and businesses are facing greater threats; hence we need more prayers from our Missioners, job opportunities for our teeming youths, and empowerment for our less privileged especially the widows among us.

"Indeed, there is no better time than now to strengthen our society and reposition it for the task ahead and I am optimistic that my colleagues and I are up to the task with the help of Allah. We want to embark on our membership drives and engage in economically viable projects that will generate money for the branches and skills (both soft & hard) acquisition for our teeming youths as most of our graduates are not employable despite their certificates," he added.
