MY PASSION FOR QUALITATIVE HEALTHCARE SERVICE DELIVERY IN OSUN STATE IS SECOND TO NONE — GOVERNOR ADELEKE

The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has underscored his unwavering commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services in Osun State, emphasizing that this commitment is unparalleled and non-negotiable.

Governor Adeleke shared these sentiments during the commissioning and distribution of Ultra-Modern Medical Devices donated to Osun State by International Hope, Canada Inc. The event was held at the Ede South Local Government Secretariat, Ede.

Represented by his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, Governor Adeleke affirmed that the current administration is dedicated to leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that every citizen, regardless of location or socio-economic status, has access to quality healthcare services.

The Governor expressed his gratitude to the partners, stakeholders, and the healthcare community for their steadfast support and collaboration. He urged healthcare workers to utilize the devices effectively, maintain them diligently, and uphold the highest standards of medical practice.

In an earlier address, Mr. Uche Nwankwo, Coordinator of Changing Rural World Inc. and the Project Coordinator, praised Governor Adeleke for prioritizing qualitative healthcare service delivery. He noted that the donation of sophisticated medical equipment aims to bolster the efforts of the Adeleke administration and enhance the capacity of healthcare workers.

Mr. Nwankwo highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in addressing healthcare challenges in Osun State. He expressed optimism about continuing collaboration with the administration to make significant improvements in the lives of Osun residents. He also mentioned that future donations would extend to other sectors such as agriculture, food security, education, and infrastructure.

The Commissioner for Health, Barr. Jola Akintola, commended the donor and all stakeholders for the successful project, aligning it with the Governor's proactive health sector agenda. Barr. Akintola outlined the Governor's achievements, including the upgrading and renovation of 332 primary health facilities across the state, provision of water supply and solar energy, enrollment of retired civil servants in the Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS), and the approval of health worker employment and hazard allowances.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duty, Hon. Akinwumi Odejobi, lauded the donor's contribution, emphasizing its role in providing affordable and qualitative healthcare and bridging gaps in service delivery. He encouraged other privileged individuals to collaborate with the government to positively impact lives.

In his vote of thanks, Dr. Kingsley Akinroye, Chairman of the Hospitals Management Board, represented by his Vice-Chairman, Hon. Elder Dosu Adedayo, expressed gratitude to the donor and Governor Adeleke for their generosity towards the people of Osun. He prayed for continued progress in the state.

The event featured cultural performances and the formal commissioning of the ultra-modern medical devices by Deputy Governor Prince Kola Adewusi.

Attendees included the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Health, Dr. Akindele Adekunle, Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary Health Care Development Board, Dr. Michael Oyerinde, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Isiaka Adekunle, Permanent Secretary of the Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Abayomi Oni, GM/ES, Chairman Ede South LG, Senior Special Advisers, and all Directors of the Hospitals Management Board, among others.
