Ondo church killing: Akire of Ikire-Ile commiserates with Akeredolu, Ondo people
The Akire of Ikire-Ile in Osun State, Oba Azeez Olatunbosun Ilufemiloye has commiserated with the people of Owo and Ondo State at large on the gruesome killing of some worshipers at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo who were killed on Sunday by armed bandits.

Oba Olatunbosun who expressed shock and worry on the unfortunate incident, stressed the need for improved security system in the country to prevent such occurrence in the future.

"With total submission to the will of Almighty Allâh, I wish to commiserate with the Ondo State Government and the people of Ọ̀wọ̀ the darstardly attack on the worshippers at St. Francis Catholic Church, Ọ̀WỌ̀, Ondo State.

"It is regrettable, disheartening and shocking to note that innocent citizens in a church who were there to worship God could be mowed down in cold blood by yet to be identified assailants.

"I implore all Nigerians to fear God as well as the day they will be lifted into their own graves and finally appear in front of the God Almighty to account for their deeds while on earth. What would these killers tell God?

"I have an unshakable faith in the nation's security agencies to unravel the identities of the killers and bring them to justice as quickly as possible.

"My prayer is that God will give the families who have lost their loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss with equanimity.

"I urge all well meaning citizens to assist, and continue to assist, security agencies with timely and actionable information that will help to apprehend the criminals and further  nip criminalities in the bud within our various communities," he added.

He prayed to God to grant the soul of the departed faithful eternal rest and grants the families they left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
