Having a good representative is something be  happy about. 

Senator Ajibola Basiru popularly called ALUBARIKA while some address  him as SRJ.. has been able to put a good show in his assignment as a senator representing the good  people of Osun Central in Osun State.
To mention  afew in his numerous achievement.

ROAD GRADING

At the beginning of the dry season in 2020, Senator Basiru graded roads on request at:

Obaagun,
Orolu,
Ilobu,
Oke Osun,Osogbo
Ibu aje Community,Osogbo
Fiwasaye,Osogbo
Akede Iyaloja,Osogbo
Jagun Onilo to UniOsun,
Iyadudu Estate,Osogbo
Osunlepo, and
Agric Oke Osun, Osogbo

The Senator facilitated rehabilitation and construction of the road from St James Grammar school, Ayetoro,Osogbo through Abaku and Alaperin bursting out at Iwalesin.

EMPOWERMENT

In December 2020, Senator Basiru did an empowerment programme for his constituents. This was in spite of EndEars protests during which louts destroyed and stole many of the items meant for distribution to the beneficiaries.

Senator Ajibola Basiru distributed the following items to his constituents;

61 motorcycles,
34 grinding machines,
26 generators,
48 deep freezers,
20 dryers, 66 tablet phones to students.
This was besides cash gifts to 410 beneficiaries.

December last year, Senator Ajibola Basiru empowered hundreds of his constituents with the following items;

156 Sewing Machines
140 Grinding Machines
30 Water pumps
10 motorcycles
8 Tricycles
12 Vulcanizing machines.

The last EMPOWERMENT programme was for 1500 farmers with:

Hybrid quality maize seeds
Herbicides,fungicides and other chemicals
Knapsack sprayers
Wheelbarrows
Machetes
Rakes

ENGAGEMENTS

A total of 451 people benefitted from the Federal Government’s Survival Fund from the Ministry of Trade and Investment. This is in addition to training of 100 constituents in cooperative in 2020. Senator Ajibola Basiru gave grants to 510 people during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Senator Basiru also facilitated recruitment of;
1133 constituents into the Special Public Works Programme
100 into N-Power programme for 2020/21
10 into N-Power programme
6 into Federal Fire Service.

There have  also been trainings for;
175 participants in cassava value chain processing and off taking,
50 on rudiments of fish production, processing, packaging and marketing,
50 on Kenaf fibre processing,
50 on improved maize, cash and seedlings,
50 on improved yam production,storage and marketing,
50 on general agriculture practices,
50 on improved cash crops and fruits.

Senator Basiru facilitated construction of a 1000 Entrepreneural Workshop Centre at Awosuru, Osogbo.

Laro Grammar School, Oke-Fia, Osogbo (on going)
Muslim Grammar School, Oke Osun, Osogbo.

The bill to establish a Federal Medical Centre in Osogbo has been passed by the Senate
