Ila Technical college gets interim Board of Directors
The Interim Board of Directors of Ila Technical  College headed by  Chief Niyi Akande has been commended for their doggedness in moving the College forward despite paucity of funds.

The college established in 2020 is to serve as training ground for technical and human capacity development.

The board is chaired by a former chairman, governing council of the Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun,  Chief Oyeniyi Akande.

Akande, who at various times had served as foundation Chief Executive Officer of the Technology Business Incubation Foundation which established Nigeria's technology business incubator centres in Agege, Aba and Kano; Nigeria's programme coordinator for the establishment of the National Centre for Technology Management at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

He was also the Director/Chief Executive of Nigeria's National Data Bank; Director of Infrastructures and Public Utilities at the National Planning Commission and Chairman, Governing Council, Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun.

Other members of the board are Ambassador Adeyemi Afolahan, who was the first Military Administrator of Taraba State and former Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea.

Others are Chief Samuel Olufemi Otitoola, the Obala of Ila, a lawyer and chartered accountant, 
Dr Olumide Babatunde, a dental surgeon and retired Permanent Secretary in Osun State and Prof Adeniyi Jayeola, a professor of Plant Systemics at the University of Ibadan.

Also on the board of directors are Hon. Lateef Jayeola-Adebisi, a member of the Osun State House of Assembly and Dr Ademola Ebeloku who is the rector of the Lens polytechnic, a private polytechnic in Offa, Kwara State.
