2023 Elections: Gov. Adeleke Should Improve on Security – Sen Basiru

The Senator representing Osun Central, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru have called on Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke to improve on security in the state as the 2023 elections draws near.
This is as he appreciated the good people of his constituency in Osun Central for supporting him during his three and years in office, as he delivered qualitative representation to them, he used the medium to assure them of apt performance on his second term ambition in office.
Senator Basiru who is also the Spokesperson at the 9th Assembly made this known in an interview at the Osun chapter of the Association of Veteran Journalists: The FrontLiners program held at Osun NUJ Secretariat Hall in Osogbo the state capital on Wednesday.
Speaking more on the 2023 elections, the Senator pleaded with Governor Adeleke to live up to the oath of section 14 of the constitution, which described Security as priority in governance, hence he should sustain the peace in Osun, as well as improve on the security of lives and properties of Osun people.
‘’My opponents are jittery, that’s why they are attacking my bill boards, this will not deter the people from voting for me because they believe in me and I have delivered.
‘’In the past three and half years, I have lived up to the expectation of Quality representation for the people of Osun Central, I have been part of the meaningful legislation of the 9th Assembly at the upper chamber’’.
‘’I have also attracted projects in terms of empowerment, borehole, school/road construction and reconstruction, solar lights among others, and I believe that we need to consolidate on the representation’’.
The consolidation is for the good people of Osun to vote massively for my emergence in the February 2023 general election, and I am grateful to everyone for their supports – Sen Ajibola Basiru stated.
