JUST IN: Multichoice Increases DSTV, GOTV Subscription Amid Rising Cost

The management of Multichoice Nigeria has announced a fresh increase in the price of subscription for its DStv and GOtv packages, barely four months after the current fee adjustment.

Multichoice said that the new prices on its DSTV and GOTV packages would take effect on Wednesday, 1 May 2024, especially for both new subscribers and customers renewing their packages.
In an email to customers on Wednesday and seen by THIRDEYE, Multichoice Nigeria stressed that the new price adjustment was made due to persistent increase in cost of production within the country.

From the price seen by our correspondent, the pay television outlet increased the subscription fee for packages on both platforms by 26 percent.

In the email signed by Chief Executive Officer, Multichoice, John Ugbe, explained that the.move would allow the firm provide more quality contents to its subscribers home acrose the country.

According to the statement, “On Wednesday, 1 May 2024 we will adjust our prices across all our packages on DStv and GOtv.
“We understand the impact this change may have on you – our valued customer, but the rise in the cost of business operations, has led us to make this difficult decision.

“It remains our mission to provide the best entertainment and viewing experience to you and are committed to continue to deliver high-quality content and unparalleled service”.
