THE #40 BILLION REMITTANCE ISSUE WAS BETWEEN CONTEC AND FGN ....Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has nothing to do with CONTEC and its contract!!!

The agreement that gave CONTEC financial advantage over Nigeria was signed with CONTEC, by the Ministry of Interior during the President Olusegun Obasanjo administration in the 2000s. The issue is between the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Company, CONTEC!
An attempt to terminate the contract before Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola assumed office as minister almost put Nigeria in trouble as the company simply took the government to a court in London and got a judgment against Nigeria.

The court in London granted $276 million in favour of the plaintiff on the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC).

Meanwhile, in a bid for Nigeria to get the best of the contracts and agreements the Ministry has signed with contractors and technical/service providers, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola instituted a quarterly performance review for all of them, CONTEC never attended nor sent representatives.

Even the respected legal luminary, Barr Femi Falana never indicted Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola because he knows absolutely nothing about how the contract was consummated, neither is he involved in the sharing of any funds or money.

The scaremongers who are hellbent in throwing dross at Arégbésolá's garment of honour had forgotten to tell Nigerians that CONTEC has been collecting CEPARC before Muhammadu Buhari became president. They equally forgot to tell us Aregbesola fought CONTEC and its owners as powerful as they were throughout his tenure as Minister of Interior.

EFCC has been fighting the company before Aregbesola became a minister. Needless to remind us that they went to court even before Ogbeni assumed office.

Rauf Aregbesola has a clean sheet as Minister of Interior and remains the best man to have managed the Ministry of Interior.
